Follow me along in this project series as I track the remodel of an amazing Beverly Hills canyon home with unbelievable views.

This incredible, contemporary home is being remodeled by Chris Teutsch of Avante Interiors.  It has been redesigned to take advantage of its unique setting high atop a canyon ridge which provides outstanding views.

Chris brought in one of his architects and designers who have been involved in transforming homes and estates in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and other parts of the “Hills”.  This particular home was originally built in 1974 with 2,345 livable sq.ft.  The 2-car garage has been opened up and will be included in the new interior floor plan.  A large carport will replace the original garage.

Because this home sits on a slope, the designers have taken advantage of the 225 degree views with several outdoor decks that will be constructed of maintenance-free composite decking.  This will provide this 3,700 sq.ft. home to have several private outdoor refuges.

During my last visit to the site, which was in early December, the windows had just been installed and the crew was preparing for drywall installation.  The targeted completion date is by spring 2011.
