Mid-Wilshire, Los Angeles Homes for Sale

Below is the current home activity for sale in the Mid-Wilshire district for single family residences in the past 30 days.

There are currently 145 active Mid-Wilshire homes for sale in a huge price range from $285,000-$6,900,000 in which 17 of these are Short Sales.

There are also 11 additional homes listed as a Short Sale, but they are in backup offers ranging from $395,000-$1,995,000.  In the case of a backup offer, this usually means that the seller is allowing backup offers to be submitted on the property, while the lien holder(s) is pending approval.  There are also 2 homes in backup offer status that are REO/bank owned sales.

Additionally, there are 59 homes in pending status and scheduled to close in escrow.  These range from $239,000-$3,775,000 at their list prices.

In the past 30 days, there were 18 homes in Mid-Wilshire that sold. These homes widely ranged from $417,000-$2,850,000 and had an average sale price of $371 per square foot.  The homes averaged 72 days on the market and 97% of their sale price over their list price.

Side note: Mid-Wilshire is a district in the City of Los Angeles.  It mostly encompasses the area bounded by La Cienega Boulevard to the west, Melrose Avenue to the north, Hoover Street to the east, and the Santa Monica Freeway to the south.  It derives its name from Wilshire Boulevard, the primary east-west thoroughfare through the area.

Today, Mid-Wilshire is an ethnically and economically diverse area, with all of Los Angeles’ major racial/ethnic groups well-represented within its borders.  Neighborhoods like Hancock Park, Windsor Square, Carthay Circle, and Lafayette Square contain some of Los Angeles’ most magnificent residential architecture, primarily in traditional city neighborhood settings.
